Marengo Creek Farms is home to grass-fed Katahdin sheep. We have chosen the Katahdin breed for their hardiness and for the quality of their meat.

Katahdins are adaptable, low-maintenance sheep that produce superior lamb crops and lean, meaty carcasses. They are a hair sheep breed, and do not produce a fleece (and therefore do not require shearing). They are medium-sized and hardy, and easy to handle in a variety of management systems.

Locally Grown
Our animals live a natural life -- eating naturally, and behaving naturally. >Our lambs are born in the early spring and spend the spring, summer and fall moving around on our 150 acres They feed on green pasture, and never receive growth promoting antibiotics, hormones or steroids.
